Geocaching Wales Website
Pixelwave Web Design is currently working on a new website for geocachers in the Aberystwyth area and the rest of Wales.
In fact this is a bit of a personal site of mine as I recently came across the ‘sport’ of geocaching and have been enjoying the places it has taken me and the people I have met. It is quite a niche activity, especially in this area but it seems to be growing and the participants I’ve come across have all been friendly and helpful and keen to meet other geocachers. It was this that prompted me to build a website for Geocachers in Wales. The aim is to allow them to keep in contact with each other, plan trips to the hills, discuss all aspects of geocaching and plan meetings for a few drinks in the pub.
I don’t expect the site to become huge, there are after-all only a few of us in this area at the moment, but it will be open to walkers, ramblers and anyone who enjoys the ‘Great Outdoors’ in this part of the UK. This area does have huge potential for geocaching and other similar activities and it is hoped that the site will promote geocaching and encourage people to do it in a responsible manner.
