Camera and Photography Shop Website Gets Weblog
Anyone who has ever read any of my articles or commissioned me carry out any SEO on their website will know that I am an advocate of the 'Content is King' philosophy. A website that contains lots of regularly updated relevant content will in time become loved by the search engines. Content, content, content, it is the only sure-fire way to get your website the rankings its deserves within the SERPS.
However, I've also recently been encouraging my clients to add a weblog to their websites. The reasons for this are that a weblog provides an easy way for webmasters with little or no web-design knowledge to add that all important content to their websites whenever they please. The ease of the process hopefully encourages webmasters to get into the habit of regularly adding new content to their site which is exactly what the search engines want to see. Secondly, search engines seem to love weblogs just because they are weblogs and weblog articles seem to get included within the SERPS really quickly and soon rank highly for their keywords.
I've published content via a weblog on this site for a while, but thought it was time to follow my own advice and add one to my 'experimental' camera and photography shop website. The idea being that I will now be able to easily and efficiently add new pages full of the all important relevant content to this website via the weblog which will hopefully in time improve the rankings of the site within the SERPS and result in more traffic and more sales commission. I shall be tracking its progress closely as the whole of the camera-and-photography info site is a test site for various ideas of mine.
