UK Web-Hosting Now Available
In addition to web-hosting accounts based on servers within US data-centers (excuse the American spelling), Pixelwave is now pleased to announce that it also offers state-of-the-art web-hosting facilities on servers based in UK data-centers.
The facilities, services and hosting plans offered are identical but for businesses based in the UK with visitors predominantly from the UK market then the access times should be quicker when using UK servers rather than US servers. (Ping times to UK servers from the UK are around 20ms, whereas it takes around 90ms to the US).
The data-center has been carefully chosen for its superiour infrastructure, service, security and locality to the core of European Internet communications. Situated at East India Docks in London, the facility is 30 seconds walk from both Telehouse buildings, which house the London INternet eXchange (LINX).
State of the art fire supression systems, based upon Very Early Smoke Detection Alarms to sense heat and smoke before you can even smell it. Accessibility and reliability is key throughout, with raised floring, scalable power expansion, and of course the facility is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year by experienced staff. Remember, this is just direct peering at the London Internet Exchange, there are also connections at all major European Internet Exchanges, and beyond, so even if a problem occurs, traffic can easily be re-routed around the issue with no adverse effects.
