Pixelwave Web Design and Borth Rowing Club
I've just started on a new web design project for a local Rowing Club. As a small local club I am providing this service virtually free of charge, so this is my way of sponsoring them. In return I'll get my logo on their newsletters which may lead to more local business coming my way.
It feels good to help local clubs such as this one. With limited funds they manage to provide an alternative activity for the local community. I also admire the way they promote the 'fun' side of such activities without taking themselves too seriously even when competing in large events.
Lets hope their new website encourages some new members so that we'll soon see a whole flotilla of Celtic Longboats patrolling the waters of Borth.
A few of the members are fairly computer literate so I shall probably end up training them how to update and maintain their new website. I was originally going to build them website template and let them add new pages and build much of the site, but I now think I'll do most of it myself so that I can ensure that the site is fully accessible and conforms to todays web standards.
